I had the opportunity to work closely with Lemonhead.LA, a brand I am personally excited about. My journey with them began in September 2023, when I created a new app design for their platform. Lemonhead requested a design consultation due to struggles with their app design, citing issues with navigation and its overall busyness. They had been hesitant to make changes, but were finally open to receiving design help.

Despite some nerves, I joined the call with them and walked them through the updated app design. To my relief, the response was overwhelmingly positive. The merchant had not yet seen the new design, as they had been unaware of my updates. When I showed them the new version, they initially said "what the hell" in surprise, but quickly clarified with "this is perfect, what the hell." They were thrilled with the design, and we even had a productive working session, updating the app to reflect their latest collections.

By the end of the call, Lemonhead.LA was ready to release their app! It was incredibly rewarding to see such a positive turnaround, especially considering their earlier frustrations. This project was a highlight for me, both professionally and personally, as I had been eager to see the design come to life for a product I admire.

I utilized Figma for high-fidelity design prototypes, enabling real-time collaboration and responsive layouts. After Effects was used to incorporate subtle animations, enhancing the user experience with smooth transitions and interactivity. Finally, I implemented the design through Tapcart, ensuring a seamless e-commerce experience with streamlined navigation and easy customization. These tools together helped create an engaging, user-friendly app that addressed the merchant’s pain points and contributed to a successful launch.
